The Far Side of Magnolia

Today I took my husband on a picnic to the far side of Magnolia.  It was wonderful, really hot and sweaty, but wonderful.  We found some wild blackberry bushes and each had a hand full of sun ripened berries.  But the bushes fought back, I have thorn scratches all over my legs.  For our picnic, I even got some exotic food, namely imported cheese.  It was a rare treat to have Gruyère, Brie, Prosciutto, bean sprouts, Dijon and cherub tomato sandwiches.  And to finish it off we enjoyed mango lemonade.

I found a field of Sweet Peas!

Sweat Peas are my favorite flowers.  Not only are they the flowers for April, when I was born, but they mean "Thank you for a lovely time".

The view of the Puget Sound at our picnic was amazing.

I collected a bouquet of Sweet Peas for our apartment. 

I love the curly vines.  

Fun story, today at my church it was teacher appreciation day.  They gave us all flowers and chocolate!  I picked this vase with the two calla Lilies.

Wet Winter Wonderland

It's snowing!  Big fluffy flakes!  Some are even an inch an a half around!  They are slowly floating to the ground.  It's absolutely lovely!  But I am glad I am warm inside our apartment, looking out our balcony door.

It Feels Like Summer

Matt and I went for a hike from the Timpanogos Trail head. We were hiking over what looked like avalanche debris because pine branches and twigs were everywhere. Also, we found this broken off sign near a large pile of snow.

There were still inches of snow up on the mountains. One time Matt sunk into the snow up to his waist. It was difficult to see the trails sometimes, so we weren't able to go as far as we wanted. But it was beautiful and it was the perfect temperature. After our hike we went made barbecue chicken on a grill. It was a lovely day.

Spring Time :)

I am loving this warm weather! Matt and I went for a walk tonight. It was lovely. Also, Matt and I planted some trees for Earth Day and I planted our Bonsai tree seeds and set them outside. I hope they grow. Man life is good.

Insomnia

Well, I can't seem to fall asleep. I've been trying for two hours now. And I have to wake up extra early tomorrow. Lovely. Although, I found this awesome new google page, which I set to my new home page. Now every time I open Safari I see the weather, my calendar, a literary quote of the day, some news, and the photo of the day from National Geographic. It's lovely.

That must be my new word for the week, lovely. I didn't even realize I used it twice until I reread what I wrote.
